Do I want to start sketching and drawing. My friends have told me I'm pretty good, so I thought: "Eh .... I'll give it a shot." So, now I'm here, ready to begin the learning. A tiny, little problem, I do not know what they are buying !!!!!!!!! Like I said, I want to sketch and draw, so I will need pencils and crayons. Please son't quite basic, I need details!
Remember, I will choose a best answer! I need a sketch pad. Can someone me a link for one?
You might also want to pick some artists drawing pencils like these: http://www.dickblick.com/zz204/38/. They come in different hardnesses, and it's fun to experiment with different shades of black that you can get just by changing your pencil. A kneaded eraser (http://www.dickblick.com/zz215/02/) as they are reusable and can be very useful for deleting only clean when you need it to be clean.
For crayons, start with the cheaper (crayola are ok), but if you go serious with them to a real art store and get some prismacolor or similar brands.
Or you can simply start with an ordinary pencil and eraser, if you do not have much money. Deliveries are not all there is to it, but will practice the expenditure of time and improve make up the difference.

Starving Artist. How do you afford supplies?
Sep 24, 2008 by adobeprincess | Posted in Other - Visual Arts
I'm a starving artist. I'm having trouble OFFER supplies and classes. What are some creative ideas on how to order? Thanks, that helps.
Try bartering. Before I deliver my art work and exchange / or talent for art. I have a series of 200.00 Rembrandt pastels for 10.00 and a portrait. I would paint the trade extra oil paints for the paint to what I needed. Get a job at an art supply store. Normally, 20% discount for current stock and will receive discounts on camp. If you go to college to financial aid office and tell them you need more money for supplies. Often there are grants for art supplies and / or starving art students.
Hope that helps.

Do You Love Art Supplies and Painting Demonstrations (Especially ...
A selection of titles would be: "Confessions of an art shop aficionado." So wary of ever being addicted. I want to kick off b entice you with the tools and tips that have helped me get to revel. I will be oil paintings, pastels, watercolor above, and acrylic painting. I will cover studio and plein air painting techniques. In conclusion I think you will find the upper-class art supplies, books and DVDs. Fortunately (for both of us) I would like to clear Democratic online oil painting demonstrations. But beware, the hunt never ends ... The Quiller Color helpful in that. Hostile colors on the tire mix improved gray.A baby more to one side or the other of "harmony" and you get pleasing neutrals. No "mud". An extraordinary meeting of representatives of these tires is that they literally go on a bender with the name of the manufacturer (and not by saying "yellow-orange), so you have no doubt as to which he tested in realistic colors associated with its tires. It is unusual enough to work on time, ie, the stores still carry most if not all the same colors, which he calls. Stephen Quiller also wrote an eccentric list of color named "Color Choices". If you have any doubts about your estimation, the theory of color, this is the libretto for you.Taken as a termination of a latest color Bible as I have. 4. pay different subject. I do not use the (removable) like a range of tiles, but they are also for non-contaminated (because they accidentally get messy, which I do go down as the estimate always messy ...). Con (in my hard-cover): the tray angle back and forth, which may pose a risk. It is a "rule" have, but it is displeased about the basis and shall not refuse and I would like (if you have 2-year olds) as pinch things. Nevertheless, it is still an amicable properly tuned to a desired range such as acrylic, which I sometimes use (by explicit Covino) to.I have a portfolio that support imitation rubber baffle below the easel on the carpet spirit. Without unpleasant leaks so far, and I use it for a few years. PS: If you get no oil showing on the carpet, the horrible-looking dog grazing soap (from studio products....
