How do I make my calipers look good?

I'll buy som alloy wheels, and I realized that would be if I did, my disc brake calipers, an eye sore. They are really rusty and covered in crap! How do I get all that rust, and I paint them? Would that look good on stock calipers?

To clean wire brush and solvent. Caliper paint is sold at the parts store. No one is powder-coated calipers, unless they have been completely disassembled and all parts completely cleaned and dried with non-flammable solvent. How much risk of fire in the stove. In painting my calipers next week. I have a white 1995 Holden Commodore sedan sitting on 5-spoke 18''chromies. I was opting for the red color, but just wanted to see, what would they think you look good.

Stick with the red - a proven concept in many cars.
