Can someone who is an art dealer tell me about my piece of folk art on ebay-a 5" wood carving of a woman?

If you are on ebay, it is in antiques, then "folk art", or carved then'sculpted ", then between '1900-1949 '. It is an old woman has a dress and an apron with her hair in a bun, her hand was carved.
I thought it might Elijah Pierce's work, but after looking at his work, he usually appears 2-D pieces. So really, I have no idea. That's all I'm looking for - is one way.

Any help would be appreciated.

How do I paint an old dresser? Is it necessary to do more than just clean and lightly sand the finish?

I bought an old walnut chest of drawers. I wish him a funky look by painting the southwest are a variety of colors-turquoise, yellow, red and brown, with some Mexican folk art on the front of the drawers. Any suggestions?

As you said, is the first step to clean and sand. Use a 60 K to scuff it. This will help to keep the color. Continue to roll on a coat of good primer such as Zinsser 1-2-3. Finally, apply 2 coats of your finish. Hope this helps.
