Who and What are Some Good Old Country Music Artists and CDs?

I'm trying to compile a CD collection for my father and he's really into older country music. He enjoys country artists like Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty and George Jones, what some other artists or CD's would be with this GENRA? Any Recomendations or help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

What are some good country music CDs, I have decided that what I wish for Christmas, but I know of no good. To suggest that I might like title and artist please. Thank you!

You should get Carrie Underwood's Carnival Ride ... it is super good! I hear it over and over again ... Fearless Taylor Swift's also good, but if you are the first and you're not a Taylor fan you do not like it, in my opinion ... ... and Brad Paisley's Play and Miranda Lambert's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend ... George Strait won the CMA album of the year and I love his album troubadour ...
