How can i decorate this room with the ugly wallpaper I am not allowed to remove?

His old blue ladyish, with flowers and I like to feel more art deco / modern. I am ready to buy a new bed / furniture as well, but I live in the 3rd Floor and most of the great things cannot get up the stairs. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/g ermanosprey/P1000706.

It is not so bad, I was imagination gigantic blue roses ...! Decorate with whatever you want, but go rather sparse that stuffed-get plain straight lines in furniture, no frills and waves, plain color, pattern, not if one duvet / curatins / pillows. Tip: wood blinds, or a holland blind in a favorite / strong color.
Things become clearer, the less grandma-ish look to the room, and it looks neat, even if not so clean!
